No. All of the colors in our cauliflower are the result of natural breeding techniques, much like the different colors found in heirloom tomatoes.

While flowering kale, also known as decorative or ornamental kale, somewhat resembles Salad Savoy®, the true difference is in the taste. The Packer’s Produce Availability Guide describes Salad Savoy® as an “open-headed leafy vegetable closely related to kale and cabbage” and notes that it should not be confused with flowering kale, which is used mostly as an ornamental. Salad Savoy® has a flavor resembling cabbage, cauliflower, and broccoli, while flowering kale can have a more bitter taste. Salad Savoy® is also available year-round.

Lollipops™ are a fork-sized vegetable that is a cross between red kale and Brussels sprouts.

Our products are grown year-round, thanks in part to our winter crop location in Yuma, Arizona. That means any time of year is a great time for Salad Savoy Corp. products.

Our products can be found in many grocery stores and produce markets. If you don’t see our products in the vegetable section, ask your produce manager.

Most of our products can be eaten raw or cooked. They can be steamed, sautéed, microwaved, or boiled, and added to a variety of recipes.
